Thank God for you. I’m a young artist, and I just don’t even know where to start .m. Thank God for your encouraging words cause sometimes I just sit alone and feel the spirit telling me I’m an artist but there’s that big question of “how do I do that?” Thank the Lord our God for your testimony Matt. Thank God for you.

Thank you for making this video. 🙏 I’ve been using my art as an outlet for sin and recently I’ve seen how it’s poisoned my faith in the Lord. I want to repent and do better and I feel like that entails turning to the Lord and Savior and honoring him through the gifts he’s given me to further share the love and healing of the faith. 💕

So Sales tax or gross receipts tax is paid by gallery, store and not the artist correct? The artist just receives payment without paying those taxes?

Thank you for sharing sister! What an example to choose Jesus and to let Him have first place in our hearts. Just like Mary broke the alabaster and gave to Jesus all she had..God is a jealous God and wants us all to Himself..Sometimes He will ask us to choose if we want Him and to be with Him or something else in the world that we desire to have .. May we like you surrender all to Him and may He open our ears to listen and guide us through our lives.. 2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. May we all watch and pray and be focused not to seek the opinion of men but to win the race first place He set before us :)

I also have a great desire to paint.. I don’t know if it’s from the Lord, I pray he makes it clear to me or maybe take a step of faith and He will correct me if I’m wrong .. may we all have open ears to listen to His guidance:)

What I've learned is that no one but yourself is the final judge on if your art is good enough to sell. And if you're looking to sell, just start putting your stuff out there.

I also think asking for help is hard, because I don't want to disappoint, or lose the opportunity. I feel my dreams will never be reality, I'm too unorganized in my head, and it seems chaotic, hard to pull it all together to pull off a business or something positive!

Thanks Matt, a much needed video for me. I’ve been getting closer to God by pouring time into His word, in the healing process my spirit needs from the loss of two dear sisters in 6 months of each other. One last September and my eldest sister in February. Potential studio space working out in an office my son is moving to a different room 🙏🏻for this creative space! I may have been distant but God’s working in me.

Man, I got so much out of this topic. Thank you, Matt. I stopped drawing for about 20yrs or more just because the grind of life. I'm 61 now and I just started a RUclips channel. I never used a brush or the medium (Gouache), It's been challenging but I'm seeing the progress. God has been getting me ready and preparing to start bringing scripture to life. "Coming soon"

I carve and weld Prophetic Sculptures out of silver and other metals which are based on dreams that I have. I've completed 4 Sculptures at this point and can't seem to find others who are doing this type of one of a kind Prophetic art. I have pictures of my art if you are interested..... Thanks Dr c

Yes, I was also looking at my purpose in God’s plans as an artist, that’s what I do the best after all, and staying focused kinda finding the only thing to concentrate on.. Thank you ) there is a lot to learn
